Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital

We have recently followed Dr. Jakubowski to her new home in Oakville. That is perhaps the very best testament to her care. We live in Toronto and have at least 6 or more vet clinics all within 10 minutes of our home but we would not even consider going anywhere else. The care received by Dr. Jakubowksi ( fondly known as Dr. Iz ) is well worth our commute from Toronto. I could not imagine our lives or our senior dogs lives without her care, experience, expertise and guidance. And most of all care and kindness. We have had the true privilege of not just being in Dr. Iz’s care but also many of SEO’s staff as well. I wish I could mention all of them by name. We have known Dr. Iz and some of the SEO staff for about 17 years. Including the best ever management team, Rita Peters and Helen Duncan. I say “ we “ have been in the care of Dr. Iz and many of the SEO staff because in our opinion it’s not just the dog village that needs to be cared for but the human village as well. This team welcomed our new black Lab puppy in a previous location in 2006. We have known Maureen Haunts, AHT, even longer than Dr. Iz. You will not find a more caring and supportive person than Maureen Haunts who specializes in geriatric/palliative care and end of life counseling when those though decisions sadly need to be made. We are now the proud owners of our senior girls, both Labs. One is 11 years old and other one is 14 years young. The attention to care you will receive at SEO is unparalleled whether you have a youngster or a senior pet. From the minute you walk into the facility you will be welcomed with the warmest hello ever and be sent to an amazing examination room. The examination rooms are huge and more than enough room for both our girls and us. So 4 of us , plus the vet and the vet tech as needed…..there is still comfortable room for 6. The whole facility is immaculately clean, bright and spacious. They even have a dog friendly weigh scale ! The facility is wheel chair accessible, including the bathroom. It is truly state of the art. It’s as new and innovative as the staff who had a dream and have now put that dream into practice. Phone calls, texts and e mails are all responded too so quickly. If they see a missed call from you , they will call you just to make sure all is well. All test results are reported back to you promptly. This team does not miss anything and their attention to detail re the examination and care of your pet is amazing. Plus lots of free parking. Fantastic new Oakville veterinary hospital. Our dog, George, received his annual physical exam and we were impressed with Dr. Peters and his staff with their fabulous care and professionalism. They were extremely friendly and patient to answer all our questions and concerns. Their state of the art facilities, friendly environment and caring nature sure made it worth the drive to Oakville! George is actually looking forward to his next visit!

We visited Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital for our two cats and we had an amazing experience! Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and the space was beautiful with a welcoming and modern atmosphere. We were taken to a cat-only examination room which my cats definitely appreciated! There were also mounted wall perches for the cats to be able to explore and feel comfortable while the vet was seeing them. They loved it! Dr. Peters was amazing. He was so thorough and gentle with our cats and they felt immediately comfortable with him. I feel very confident that Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital has the best staff/approach to pet care, and I will be bringing my other pets to their clinic in the future. Thank you!!

Extremely impressed! I have a very nervous rescue dog that was due for a physical and vaccines. I interacted with several staff throughout the visit and all were very kind and patient and did everything possible to make it as stress-free as it could be. Dr. Peters spent time to build trust with my dog and then performed a very thorough exam. He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. Feeling very good about my decision to switch to this vet clinic. Highly recommend!

I brought my two cats to Dr. Derek Peters today and had an amazing experience! As a new patient, I wasn’t sure what to expect but this clinic far exceeded my expectations! The front reception decor was exceptional and the examination rooms were very clean with some tasteful art on the wall with lots of natural sunlight! Dr. Peters was very detail oriented when doing his examination with the cats and they were instantly comfortable which is quite rare and speaks to Dr. Peters talents and experience. I will definitely come back to see Dr. Peters and the rest of the friendly staff and highly recommend Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a vet they can trust!

Excellent care, amazing vets and support staff and first class facilities. We live in Muskoka and have followed Dr. Iz from Etobicoke to her new home in Oakville. Our best guy Wally has a significant number of major issues and the SOVH has been totally engaged in diagnosing and working towards real treatment solutions that have given him health and wellness. We are so very grateful and appreciative of their outstanding care and commitment to our little guy! We highly recommend the SOVH for high quality care and excellent service.

Today was my first appointment with Southeast Oakville Vet Hospital. I was nervous because my pup needed three vaccinations and a blood test. All of the staff were great and took time to get to know her and feed her a few treats. At previous vet clinics, she has panicked but I was so impressed with this clinic. They knew how to hold her and she was so much calmer than any other time. Three vaccinations, a blood test and a full exam and she still wasn’t in any hurry to leave. What a relief! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff in a modern and clean environment. I highly recommend.

I had a fantastic experience at Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital and highly recommend them. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and provided personalized care for my pup. The facilities are brand new and has a modern look. It's also impeccably clean. During my pup's neuter, they even used red light therapy for his recovery, which we thought was really cool tech. The vets took the time to walk me through the process and answered all my questions in detail. Follow-up care was also excellent. Overall, I'm very impressed and grateful for the exceptional care my dog received at this clinic! Will definitely be coming back for my other pets.

Our two cats, Nacho and Bea, visited the Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital today for their annual check-up. People were super super friendly, the place is awesome, big and clean. Nacho and Bea enjoyed their favourite treats while Dr. Peters examined them. They were able to explore the room and had a great time. Nacho liked the sink for some reason. The team at Southeast Oakville Vet is absolutely amazing! They are thorough, thoughtful, kind and compassionate. They treat the animals as if they were their own, and they make you and your pet feel like a part of their family. You cannot ask for a better team of people to care for a beloved pet. Even though I don’t live in the neighbourhood, I make the drive to Southeast Oakville Vet because the care that my sweet and anxious dog receives here is worth the drive.
